FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Investigators are at a loss for leads in the Nov. 5, 2013 shooting death of a young mother in Cumberland County.

Felicia Williams Diggs, 34, was found shot in front of a home in the 3000 block of Paddlefish Drive. Neighbors said she lived  in the Taylors Creek Mobile Home Park, off U.S. Highway 301, with her twin sons and a daughter. All three children were inside the home at the time of her death.

Diggs' sister said the children have suffered many sleepless nights since her murder.

"They're not doing well at all, 'cause the first thing that comes to their mind is 'my mama never hurt anyone," Keosha Figueroa said.

Deputies distributed fliers following the incident asking anyone who may have seen suspicious people or vehicles in the area to come forward. So far, no one has.

"When we have a homicide, we try to canvass to see if there's any other suspects, or if anybody saw anything, or if there are any other witnesses that are afraid to come to the sheriff's office to talk," Lt. Bobby Reyes said.

Investigators don't think Diggs' death was random.

She and two Fayetteville men, Deldrick Sanders, 22, and Larry Donnell Everette, 29, were indicted in Arkansas in March of 2013 on cocaine distribution charges. She and Sanders were released on bail, while Everett was arrested Oct. 31, 2013 and booked into an Arkansas jail.

Detectives said they don't know whether the drug charges have anything to do with her death.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.
