An attempted armed robbery was reported on North Carolina State University's campus early Tuesday morning, according to a campus crime alert.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — An attempted armed robbery was reported on North Carolina State University's campus early Tuesday morning, according to a campus crime alert.

Police said the attempted armed robbery happened at 12:16 a.m. in the Governors' Scott Courtyard behind Kilgore Hall. The suspect displayed a dark gun and demanded the victim's phone.

The victim was not injured, and it is unclear if the suspect stole anything.

Anyone with information about the incident should call NCSU police at 919-515-3000.
