DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with a shooting death last week.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force apprehended Robert Earl Frye, 29, in a parking lot at 901 Chalk Level Road.

Frye is charged with murder in the Nov. 29 death of Felix Morales, 35, on East Cornwallis Road.

Police said Morales was shot at the Pure Mart gas station at the corner of Roxboro Street and Cornwallis Road. Witnesses at the scene told WRAL News that the incident began with two women fighting, but police have not released a motive for the shooting.

Morales was taken to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.
