Burlington police are searching for a man who committed an armed robbery at a store late Sunday night.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police are searching for a man who committed an armed robbery at a store late Sunday night.

Police said a man entered Car-Shop Food & Dairy, 903 S. Graham-Hopedale Road, around 11:30 p.m. He threatened employees with a knife and demanded money from the cash register.

After workers gave him cash, the robber fled the scene on foot, officers said. He was last seen traveling on Graham-Hopedale Road.

K-9 units from both the Burlington and Graham police departments involved in the ongoing search Sunday night.

The suspect was described as a white male between 19 and 20 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He was wearing a green-, black- and white-checkered shirt, jeans and a ball cap with a logo on front.
