— An Apex man is accused of peeping into a bathroom stall in Cary earlier this month.

Dwayne Eugene Gibson Jr., 32, of 1533 Wimberly Road, was arrested Sunday.

He is accused of secretly peeping into a women's restroom on August 7 at Cary Orthopedics at 1110 S.E. Cary Parkway, according to the arrest warrant.

The victim told authorities that she screamed for help when she saw the man peering into her stall.

Gibson was being held Sunday at the Wake County Jail.

"Last time I checked - there are ways to check if a stall is empty other than looking over the top (its called testing to see if the door will open). So even IF he walked into the wrong restroom, he had no business looking over the top of the stall. ..." TriangleMommy

Not that it may matter, but where in the article does it say he was looking over the top? If he was indeed looking over the top of the stall, he's a peeper no doubt.
Perhaps WRAL could post the warrant or change the article to show exactly how he peeped.

If it had been me, the article would have been completed with....

Their names and photos are shown because their arrest is a matter of public record.

So whether you got it here at WRAL or down at the police station, it's available.

    God bless.

LongHorns - "What was he doing in a womens room"

    AMEN!!!

But the funny thing is, if you're in the wrong gender rest room, there are no charges until you peek at someone.

You can not be "in a room" and be guilty of "Peeping into a Room" He will walk, happened to my wife the same way.

" I wish the media would raise their standards on this and not print the names and addresses.

They only do that in countries where you are innocent until proven guilty... oh wait...

I can't wait until these people that jump all over these "sex offenders" get caught peeing in public or have a son that is in a sexual active relationship at 15 with a girl and their son is accused of being a sexual predator. That's why there is a such thing as innocent until proven guilty folks.

If it was actually a "women's" restroom, not a family or unisex restroom, he had no business in there anyhow, no matter how "bad" he needed to go. Stop making excuses for him, unless he has some mental defect that could explain this -- in which case, someone needed to have a handle on him. It was in a medical facility, so maybe there's some legitimate awkwardness involved.

Last time I checked - there are ways to check if a stall is empty other than looking over the top (its called testing to see if the door will open). So even IF he walked into the wrong restroom, he had no business looking over the top of the stall. and even IF it were an accident he would have apologized and there wouldn't be the police involvement there was. So - chances are pretty dang good he is guilty!

It should be criminal to put this man's name and address out until he is convicted. This is intimidation. This is a tactic used by the police to get someone to confess. I wish the media would raise their standards on this and not print the names and addresses.

Maybe he had to really go and didn't pay attention to the little woman on the door.
