Amtrak announces train cancellations along east coast

Due to severe weather affecting the east coast, Amtrak announced Friday that it will suspend some of its services Saturday.

Amtrak said four train routes operating between Florida and New York will be canceled: the Carolinian, Palmetto, Silver Star and Auto Train. No alternative transportation will be provided, and some thruway bus connections will also be canceled.

Passengers are asked to call 800-USA-RAIL with any questions regarding travel plans or refund information.
