A banjo caper at the bluegrass festival
Someone stole Sir Walter Raleigh's banjo, and he wants it back.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Sir Walter Raleigh, the bronze statue in front of the Raleigh Convention Center, won’t be able to participate in this year’s World of Bluegrass Festival.
That’s because someone stole his banjo, which was on the statue.
Raleigh officials tweeted a message from Sir Walter asking for the speedy return of his musical instrument.
