Gunman reported at Fayetteville Goodyear plant

— It turned out that a report of a person with a gun at the Fayetteville Goodyear plant Tuesday night was not a prank.

An employee thought they saw someone with a gun at the plant at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said. Cumberland County deputies were notified two hours later because plant security searched for the gunman first.

After deputies were notified, the plant was evacuated while they searched the building.

Authorities told WRAL that the call was a prank, but then provided correct information that it was not.

No gunman or weapon were found Tuesday evening.

Sounds like it was indeed a prank. Hope those GoodYear employees got a good chuckle out of the whole thing.

Somehow I don't think Goodyear allows guns on the premises concealed carry permit or not.

There are many walking around with guns..It's called PERMIT TO CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON.Don't get in a hissy paranoid state every time you see someone walking around with a gun.
