9-year-old Cary boy killed on skateboard

A Cary boy died Saturday evening after riding a skateboard down his driveway and crashing into a vehicle driven by his neighbor, police said.

CARY, N.C. — A 9-year-old Cary boy died Saturday evening after riding a skateboard down his driveway and crashing into a vehicle driven by his neighbor, police said.

Ravindra "Ravi" Kalipershad crashed into a Toyota Highlander driven by Lauren Miller, 48, of 105 Council Gap Court, around 3:30 p.m., police said.

Ravi was riding his skateboard into the street from his house at 117 Council Gap Court, authorities said.

No charges were filed.

Ravi was a student at Weatherstone Elementary School.
