9-year-old Cary boy killed on skateboard

— A 9-year-old Cary boy died Saturday evening after riding a skateboard down his driveway and crashing into a vehicle driven by his neighbor, police said.

Ravindra "Ravi" Kalipershad crashed into a Toyota Highlander driven by Lauren Miller, 48, of 105 Council Gap Court, around 3:30 p.m., police said.

Ravi was riding his skateboard into the street from his house at 117 Council Gap Court, authorities said.

No charges were filed.

Ravi was a student at Weatherstone Elementary School.

    An innocent, playful nine year old, had no idea that his actions were putting him in danger. My heart goes out to the driver, who had no control over the situation, but im sure will be scarred for life by it. Kids just dont think while doing something im sure he thought was great fun. What a tragic accident.
