7 Arrested at Home Deputies Call a Brothel

Two women and five men were arrested Thursday after Wake County deputies broke up what they described as a house of prostitution.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two women and five men were arrested recently after Wake County deputies broke up what they described as a house of prostitution.

An anonymous tip led deputies to the residence at 6104 Fayetteville Road. They confiscated cash, condoms and poker chips, which authorities said are often used as currency in brothels.

Maria Gonzales, 30, Usvando Ovalle, 24, Abel Andrade Hernandez, 22, Marisabel Duarte, Carlos M. Ramirez-Diaz, 28, Pablo Agular, 18, and Teodulo R. Guitierrez, 34, were charged with engaging in prostitution.
