5th Person Arrested in Weekend Homicide in Raleigh

Raleigh police have charged Ricardo De Jesus Torres Serpas, 25, with murder in the death of Felipe Montalvo-Montalvo.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Raleigh police have charged Ricardo De Jesus Torres Serpas, 25, with murder in connection with the death of Felipe Montalvo-Montalvo.

Police found the body of Montalvo-Montalvo, 32, about 10:30 a.m. Sunday along the street in the 4200 block of Bland Street.

Arturo Compuzano Gonzalez, 19; Miguel Carmona Mayo, 20; Juan Asael Moveda-Aleman, 16; and Hector David Rodriguez, 16, are also charged in connection with Montalvo-Montalvo's death.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team took Serpas into custody without incident in Charlotte on Wednesday.

Serpas was returned to Raleigh and taken to the Wake County Jail.
