42-year-old man drowns at Kerr Lake

Authorities said the man, who was 42 years old, got into the water to swim at about 5:30 p.m. and never came back up.

Authorities recovered the man's body at about 8 p.m. about 5 feet away from the bank near Satterwhite Point.

Authorities did not say what might have led to the drowning.
