A 6-year-old boy was struck by a car in Cary Saturday night, according to authorities.

CARY, N.C. — A 6-year-old boy was struck by a car in Cary Saturday night, according to authorities.
Officials said the incident occurred on Carter Grove Court around 7 p.m. while the boy was playing with sidewalk chalk.
The victim suffered minor, non-life threatening injuries, including scrapes on his arms and legs, family members told WRAL News.
The child was treated and released from Duke University Hospital by Sunday morning.
No further information has been released.
