31-year-old man shot, killed outside Sanford bar

Sanford police responded to the shooting at the Tiki Lounge at 105 Main St. just after 2 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Winford Junior Murchison, of Sanford, with several gunshot wounds to his lower abdomen.

Murchison died at the hospital.

Sanford police charged Joshua Tahjai Brewington, 22, of 2607 Mallard Cove, Sanford, with one count of first degree murder. Brewington was placed in Lee County Jail under no bond.
