CLAYTON, N.C. — Three more Johnston County residents have been charged in connection with the theft of an automated teller machine from a Clayton convenience store last month, police said.

Jerry Wayne Barker Jr., 18, of 279 Fire Department Road in Wilsons Mills, and Kenny Ray Alston, 34, of 2710 Ridge Road in Clayton, are charged with breaking and entering, larceny, safecracking and damage to property in connection with an April 26 theft of an ATM from Howard's Mini Mart in Clayton.

Amanda Jo Mincolla, 18, of 279 Fire Department Road in Wilsons Mills, is charged with aiding and abetting a felony.

Robert Blake Strother, 19, whose last known address was Fire Department Road, was arrested two weeks ago in the ATM theft and has been linked to similar crimes in Raleigh and other jurisdictions, police said.

Since Strother's arrest, police have recovered about a dozen ATMs and safes from wooded areas and ponds across Johnston County, as well as in the Neuse River.
