29-year-old motorcycle rider dies in Durham crash
A motorcycle rider died Wednesday night after a crash on the Durham Freeway, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A motorcycle rider died Wednesday night after a crash on the Durham Freeway, police said.
Police said Sherod Meadows, 29, of Raleigh, was riding his 1997 Suzuki GSRX 750 with a group of friends around 10:15 p.m. on the highway just north of Duke Street. The rider drifted off the left side of the road and hit a guardrail, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
