19-year-old Eagle Springs man charged with statutory rape
Moore County deputies on Wednesday charged a 19-year-old with the rape of a 14-year-old female victim.

EAGLE SPRINGS, N.C. — Moore County deputies on Wednesday charged a 19-year-old with the rape of a 14-year-old female victim.
Christian Parker Newman, of 590 Sawgrass Road, Eagle Springs, was charged with felony statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Moore County Sheirff's Office. Newman was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Newman's first court appearance is scheduled for May 24.
