18-year-old charged with murder in Raleigh shooting death

An 18-year-old man was charged with murder in connection to a Dec. 11 shooting death in Raleigh, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old man was charged with murder in connection to a Dec. 11 shooting death in Raleigh, police said.

Alkariek Josiah Freeman was charged with the death of Brandon Khalil Sandy, 18, who was found shot to death inside a car on Edwin Road.

Raleigh police said U.S. Marshals took Freeman into custody in the Atlanta area and transported him back to North Carolina.
