17-year-old girl killed in Fayetteville wreck

A 17-year-old Fayetteville girl died Friday night in a wreck on Greenock Avenue at Bingham Drive, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 17-year-old Fayetteville girl died Friday night in a wreck on Greenock Avenue at Bingham Drive, Fayetteville police said.

According to investigators, Erika Allyha Cogdell was attempting to turn left onto Bingham Drive from Greenock Avenue when her 2003 Ford Focus collided with a 2003 Hyundai sedan driven by Jason Lee.

Lee, 24, of Fayetteville, and two passengers in his car were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed in the wreck.

Bingham Drive was closed between Marykirk Drive and the Stone Carriage Apartment complex entrance as crews investigated the wreck.

No other information was released.
