Man seriously injured in shooting on Alston Avenue in Durham

— A man was seriously injured in a shooting in the 1500 block of Alston Avenue in Durham around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

According to the preliminary investigation, he was shot near the Burger King on Alston Avenue. He then ran to his home at 1515 Alston Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital. At that time, he was conscious and alert.

Police are looking for three suspects in relation to the shooting, but they do not have anyone in custody.

    Not only around the campus but the whole city needs policing.

    At some point, in the near future, the NCCU chancellor needs to get Bill Bell and his chosen police chief on the phone and DEMAND better policing of the areas surrounding campus!
