1 Person Shot During Home Invasion

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person was shot in the hand during a home invasion just after 2 a.m. Monday.

Two people broke through a window at the Dover Apartments at 703 Apt. D Ileagnes Road, according to Raleigh police.

Four people were in the apartment at the time, and several of the occupants were beaten by the intruders, police said. One occupant was shot in the hand.

Authorities said they were not sure yet if the suspects knew the victims. All the victims were taken to the hospital to get checked out and were later released.
