1 in critical condition after 6-vehicle Fayetteville wreck

— A six-vehicle crash in Fayetteville closed Ramsey Street for a few hours Wednesday morning and injured some of the people involved.

The crash happened just before 8 a.m. near the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. Many of the vehicles sustained significant damage, and one overturned.

All the occupants of the vehicles were removed by emergency personnel. One person was in critical condition, police said.

Ramsey Street was reopened before 11 a.m.

    Combination of speeding, tailgating and then someone else runs a red light.

    Road courtesy is dead it seems. Sad.

    I will never understand how people cause crashes like this on clear days. How people cause crashes on straight highways with little traffic perplex me even more.

    I hope everyone gets back to normal soon, and I hope the person at fault is determined and they get their just deserts.
