1 dead, 1 arrested in Raleigh stabbing

— Raleigh police charged a man with murder after he allegedly stabbed another man to death Monday night.

At about 9:45 p.m., police responded to a stabbing call at 734 S. State St. There, they found Anthony Patrick Graves, 43. He was taken to WakeMed and later died.

Police arrested Travis Glenn McDougal, 31, at the scene. He was charged with murder and taken to the Wake County Jail.

Both men lived at the address.

    When you go downtown, do not stray South of South St, nor East of East St. You'll be OK if you follow this advice. If you must go beyond these boundaries, do so early in the morning (though as a word of caution - I have seen a drug arrest at State St and Lenoir St at 9am!).

    They arrested the suspect "at the scene"? What.. Did the guy count on the cops thinking that the guy cut himself shaving? What in the world?

    So much of the news nowadays just baffles me. The Triangle area has stories like this daily now. It's sad.
