Two people arrested after crashing into power pole on US 1 in Aberdeen

Around 5:30 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to a crash on U.S. 1 near the intersection of Summit Street.
When law enforcement arrived, they found a car that had crashed and hit a power pole.
Law enforcement said there were two people in the car, and they were both taken into custody. The two were also taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance while remaining in police custody, according to law enforcement at the scene. The second person was taken into police custody at the scene and taken to the hospital by a law enforcement officer.
One lane of U.S. 1 in each direction was closed to traffic temporarily while the incident was investigated.
