Man dies after falling off construction equipment

A man died Friday in northern North Carolina after falling off construction equipment.

According to the Northampton County Sheriff's Office, the 57-year-old man died in a construction zone accident outside of Garysburg on U.S. Highway 158.

No specific details were shared, but the man died due to his injuries.

"This is a sad and unfortunate incident, our thoughts and prayers are with his family," the sheriff's office posted.
