Driver taken to hospital after 18-wheeler explodes in Sampson County
A 18-wheeler hauling frozen turkeys in Sampson County exploded following a crash on Monday morning. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with serious burns and injuries.

Sky 5 flew over the scene near the intersection of Highway 13 and Lee Allen Pope Lane.
The Spivey's Corner Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire after 10:45 a.m.
The truck belongs to M&M Transportation out of Fisher, West Virginia.
The surrounding stretch of Highway 13 will be closed Monday afternoon.
