ZEBULON, N.C. — A Zebulon police officer was involved in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Saturday morning.

According to the State Highway Patrol, the officer was responding to a burglary in progress when the crash occurred.

Officer Christopher Hamm was traveling north bound on Hwy 96 when a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer pulled into the path of the patrol vehicle. The officer T-boned the Blazer, according to officials.

Both drivers and one passenger received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Wake Med Raleigh.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are a factor in the collision, according to officials.

No information is available on their current conditions.
