A student from Carrboro High School was charged in a bomb threat that evacuated the school on Wednesday, according to police. The student, who was under the age of 18, is charged with felony making a false report concerning a destructive device.

Police said a robber entered the store at 320 N. Arendell Ave. just after 8 p.m. Monday. He indicated to a store clerk that he was armed, then demanded money. The robber fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

<b>ZEBULON, N.C.</b> — A Zebulon man has been charged in the robbery of a Rite Aid earlier this week. 

Police said a robber entered the store at 320 N. Arendell Ave. just after 8 p.m. Monday. He indicated to a store clerk that he was armed, then demanded money. The robber fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Travis Clifford McClain, 25, of 106 W. Sycamore St., was arrested at his home about three hours later. 

McClain was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He is on probation for a misdemeanor larceny conviction in July, according to state Department of Correction records. He's also been convicted of nine felony break-in and larceny charges.

Tyrone Taylor II was last seen in Dunn on Sept. 5. Authorities were initially searching for his car, which they found burned in Cumberland County a few days after his disappearance. On Thursday, authorities said they found skeltal remains on November 20, which were later identified as Taylor.
