Zebulon man accused of raping 13-year-old girl
A Zebulon man was being held a $1 million secured bond Friday after he was charged with raping a 13-year-old girl, according to a police warrant.

ZEBULON, N.C. — A Zebulon man was being held a $1 million secured bond Friday after he was charged with raping a 13-year-old girl, according to a police warrant.
Marcus Jerome Wright, 25, is charged with first-degree rape of a child and first-degree sex offense against a child.
Zebulon Chief of Police Tim Hayworth said Wright was a family friend of the victim, who was visiting the area when the alleged crime occurred.
The alleged crimes happened on July 9, 2012, according to the search warrant. No other information was released.
