WRAL News first reported that Gov. Roy Cooper could ease pandemic-related restrictions as soon as Wednesday. This comes as the state reported on Tuesday the fewest new virus infections since Nov. 2.

The decision may affect sporting events, bars, restaurants and alcohol sales.
