Wreck tosses car upright against utility pole
A wreck in Raleigh early Thursday ended with the driver in jail and his car standing upright.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A man was charged with driving while impaired after a single-vehicle wreck ended with his car standing upright on its up bumper leaning against a utility pole Thursday, said Raleigh police
Police said Andrew Bennett Keasler, 27, was going north on Wake Forest Road, near Ronald Drive, when the wreck occurred shortly before 1 a.m.
In addition to DWI, Keasler was charged with hit-and-run and careless and reckless driving. He was the only person in the vehicle.
Wake Forest Road was closed for several hours while crews cleaned the scene.
