Wreck involving state trooper reported in Rocky Mount
Four people, including a state trooper, were transported to area hospitals after a wreck in Rocky Mount on Thursday.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Four people, including a state trooper, were transported to area hospitals after a wreck in Rocky Mount on Thursday.
Trooper Kearstin Howell was en route to help a colleague when she came up on slower traffic on North Carolina Highway 97, the Highway Patrol said. When she tried to pass a car that vehicle turned into her path.
No one was seriously hurt in the wreck.
The wreck is under investigation.
