A wreck at the merge of Interstates 85 and 40 in Orange County closed all westbound lanes Wednesday afternoon.

<b>ORANGE COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A wreck on Interstate 40/85 in Orange County closed all westbound lanes Wednesday afternoon.

A tractor-trailer and a tanker truck collided near Exit 160 in Efland about 1:30 p.m. There was no immediate information on injuries.

Drivers were detoured at the exit for several miles and returned to I-40/85 at mile marker 157.

All lanes reopened shortly before 4 p.m., but congestion was expected to last through rush hour.
