WILSON, N.C. — Southbound lanes of Interstate 95 were reopened at Exit 116 near Wilson at about 3 p.m. Saturday after a wreck involving a tractor-trailer, state Highway Patrol officials said.

Troopers said the tractor-trailer involved caught on fire, and all lanes were closed until it was extinguished. No people were killed in the wreck, but troopers did not release any information about injuries.

Residual delays were expected, so drivers  should avoid the area, if possible.

Drivers going southbound on I-95 should take Exit 116, N.C. Highway 42, and go east to U.S. Highway 264. Take U.S. 264 and use Exit 43B, U.S. Highway 301 South. Take U.S. 301 to re-access I-95.
