Authorities closed both lanes of U.S. Highway 401 in Rolesville for about an hour early Thursday after a wreck involving a car and tractor-trailer. 

<b>ROLESVILLE, N.C.</b> — Authorities closed both lanes of U.S. Highway 401 in Rolesville for about an hour early Thursday after a wreck involving a car and tractor-trailer. 

The wreck happened at about 5:45 a.m. between Bowling Drive and Waterstone Lane. It wasn't clear what caused the wreck, but a four-door sedan was heavily damaged. One person was taken to a local hospital, authorities said.

No other information about the wreck was released.
