Students from across the country were selected to participate in a journalism intensive program to prepare them for future broadcast media careers. 

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Capitol Broadcasting Company's WRAL-TV and WRAL.com teamed up to help increase diversity in the broadcast news industry.<br>

Talented young journalists from across the country collaborated in groups and individually to craft stories. A series of workshops were held by WRAL professionals and UNC journalism faculty as students soaked up this information. Students also enjoyed résumé/reel critiques and the production of their own newscast.
