WRAL tracks thunderstorms
WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth is in the Storm Tracker showing where thunderstorms are popping up Tuesday afternoon.
I am in window. A lot of lens down here. Way destination. Tell me when we're lying. Yeah, I just when they're gonna take it. Okay, so I was gonna drive right by these trees. Cap head east on West Third Street toward Wall Street. Okay. I'll need to stop then. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I'll turn around. Okay. Got it. Turn around 1/4 mile. Forest lake. Okay. Next, right onto South Cyprus street. Then turn right onto West Street. Yes. I take the next right onto West Third Street that next left onto blustery, then turn left on the west second Street. Okay, Sorry. I'm not like in the rain. Get to this to stop lightning thunder. It's at east on West Third Street towards South Cyprus Street. Okay, right. I I drove through that storm. I'm in downtown Wendell. And it was not easy to drive through. The rain was coming down very hard. It was covering the roadways. According to Mike Maze, we've seen over two inches with that storm and also some trees down as well. Won't take you to our camera on top of the storm. Tracker crews have just arrived here to remove one of the trees that is down blocking the road. People have been driving around it, but lots of little limbs down here. I seen any major damage, but there's definitely ah bunch of small limbs down in downtown window. I'm gonna go ahead and head south of here. That's where the storm has moved. I'm gonna drive in that direction. I can show you what it looks like as we are driving out on the road. I'll tell you, it is not easy. You just want to stay home. If you have one of these thunderstorms in your area, Katherine in 1/4 mile, turn right onto North Carolina to 31 north south Selma Road. Take the next right onto North Carolina to 31 north south Selma Road. Continue on North Carolina to 31 north for 1.5 miles. Good. Cantlie. Start. You're back online. You were on the fastest route. You should reach your destination by 4 32 PM Well, it's a big treat
