The WRAL Desktop Weather application, including severe weather bulletin emails, will be discontinued as of Sept. 30, 2014.

WRAL Weather provides several free alternatives:

WRAL Weather alert emails: Get an email or text alert when severe weather threatens any of North Carolina's 100 counties. It's free, fast and reliable. Emails include specifics about where the storms have been, damage caused and where they are headed. Sign up to receive alerts for your county.
