WRAL's David Crabtree Honored by Peers

WRAL-TV anchor David Crabtree has been awarded the 2007 Earle Gluck Distinguished Service Award by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters.

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. — WRAL-TV anchor David Crabtree has been awarded the 2007 Earle Gluck Distinguished Service Award by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters.

Crabtree was honored for his work on the air and his commitment to community service. The award was presented Sunday at the NCAB's annual convention in Wrightsville Beach.

The award, one of the highest honors given by the NCAB, was first presented in 1973 to recognize individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the success and achievements of the organization, the broadcast industry in North Carolina

and their communities. The award is named after Earle Gluck, who was instrumental in the development of the NCAB.
