IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS BILL. NOW THIS BILL WOULD MAKE IT INCREDIBLY COMPLICATED TO GET THIS PROCEDURE AFTER 12 WEEKS, ADDING MANY WHO ARE WOMEN AND DOCTORS. AND IT MEANS THAT IF A WOMAN WANTS TO GET THIS PROCEDURE IN THE LATER STAGE OF PREGNANCY, SHE LIKELY HAVE TO TRAVEL PRETTY FAR FOR IT. &gt;&gt; NOTHING ABOUT THIS PROTECTS WOMEN OR CHILDREN ARE IN A CYCLE, RALLIED WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHER PEOPLE WEDNESDAY PROTESTING THE BILL WHICH WOULD BAN ABORTIONS WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS AFTER 12 WEEKS, SHE HAS 3 CHILDREN BUT HAS BEEN PREGNANT 5 TIMES. I WOULDN'T EXIST WITHOUT LIFESAVING. ABORTION CARE CYCLE HAS HAD 2 ABORTIONS, BOTH FOR MEDICAL COMPLICATIONS. ONE OF WHICH CAME AT 13 WEEKS. I CAN TELL YOU LEARNING THAT THAT PREGNANCY WAS NOT GOING TO SURVIVE AND STILL HAVING TO CARRY IT JUST LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE A POINT. IT WAS DEVASTATING. MOST PEOPLE WHO GET THIS PROCEDURE GET IT IN THE EARLY STAGES OF PREGNANCY STATE HEALTH DATA SHOWS 7 OUT OF 10 TOOK PLACE BEFORE 12 WEEKS FOR THE OTHER 30% WHO ARE LIKE CYCLE AND BEYOND THE 12 WEEK PERIOD. SHOULD THIS BAN GO INTO PLACE? THEY WOULD HAVE TO TRAVEL UP TO HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY, CRIMINALIZING ABORTION IS NOT GOING TO STOP PEOPLE FROM GETTING ABORTION. THE DISTANCE INCREASES SIGNIFICANTLY. THE FURTHER LONG SOMEONE IS THAT'S JUST SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE FOR MANY OF OUR DISENFRANCHISE PATIENTS. AND SO THIS KIND OF RESTRICTION. &gt;&gt; HARMS ALL PEOPLE. BUT ESPECIALLY DISPROPORTIONATELY HARMS THOSE WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCESS AND, YOU KNOW, PAY FOR TRAVEL. &gt;&gt; STILL PRIOR TO THIS BILL, NORTH CAROLINA WAS CONSIDERED A SAFE HAVEN FOR MANY PEOPLE IN OUR NEIGHBORING STATES. DATA ACTUALLY SHOWS THAT FOLLOWING THE DOBBS DECISION, THE PERCENTAGE OF OUT OF STATE PATIENTS GETTING THE PROCEDURE HERE MORE THAN DOUBLED. SO THAT WAS IN A LAWSUIT THAT CAME OUT FOLLOWING THAT DOBBS DECISION. MEANWHILE, ALINA, OUR IF THEY'RE STRICTER HERE, IT MEANS THAT THEY WILL JUST AFFECT THAT ARE WOMEN IN NORTH CAROLINA BUT WILL AFFECT PEOPLE IN OUR STATE ALL AROUND US.</p>

I'm meteorologist, Kat Campbell in the wr a severe weather center here with a more in depth. Look at your weekend rain chances a lot of questions given that it's trending toward a pretty unsettled weekend. The good news I have for you is it's not a washout. A washout would mean that it would rain all day long. We're not expecting that this is going to be more in waves of rain that we see. The better rain chances are likely to come later in the day. But check in on the radar if you're about to head out into an event, I encourage you. Open up the wr weather app, check in on the dual Doppler 5000 radar before you head out and about. And because there are periods of rain, likely each day, you are going to want to have an indoor backup plan available in case that rain lines up with your outdoor plans. We finally got in some high resolution model data for Saturday. So I want to talk a little bit more about the rain timeline for Saturday, 79 the high Sunday. It's only 70 both days. We could see some storms around as we look hour by hour at our rain chances though, it's about a 30% chance Saturday morning. We should see that round move out pretty quickly though. And then later in the afternoon into the evening, that's when rain chances begin to climb again. Here's a closer look at that high resolution future cast during the day, Friday were dry as we get into Friday. Late afternoon into the evening, we could see a couple of showers and storms may even be between about nine pm and midnight that we have the best chance for rain though on Friday, as we look ahead to Saturday morning, some of that round of rain is still around early on. We should see that kind of move out. But with this warm across the area that could trigger a few showers and storms to develop pretty much all throughout the day because we have that front nearby. We should see a band of some showers move through at some point during the afternoon and evening. So try to make the most of the dry weather while you can. Here's a closer look at your playground planner for Friday. It's dry during the first part of the day. Only a 30% chance of a shower storm at two o'clock as we get toward four or 56 o'clock. That's when I think we have a better chance of an isolated storm. But keep in mind it's be pretty isolated Friday. Night is a better chance of rain and storms. And then Saturday night as well, we could see some lingering rain into Sunday. So if you are headed to the Bembe Cultural Arts Festival on Saturday, just try to get there early. The earlier you get there, the drier, it's likely to be your seven day forecast. Unsettled for the weekend. We do see quite a bit of cloud cover lingering on Monday. It's a bit cooler with highs. Only in the mid seventies. The eighties are back next week and by the middle and end of the week, we should be right back in the mid to upper eighties.
