RALEIGH, N.C. — WRAL anchor Kathryn Brown has been broadcasting from her guest room for six weeks.

She goes to her makeshift studio each afternoon and locks the door, plus adds an extra patch of soundproof material to it. She's not sure if the sounds of her three children, husband or new puppy will be drowned out by the material, but it helps her get into the right mindset to deliver the news.

On Tuesday's Out and About podcast, I talk with Kathryn about what it's like working from home, third-grade math and she tells us all about her BFF - her mom!
