A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a passenger vehicle and an 18 wheeler on Wednesday night in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a passenger vehicle and an 18 wheeler on Wednesday night in Raleigh.
Raleigh police told WRAL's Rosalia Fodera the crash happened on Wake Forest Road near St. Albans Drive. A woman was driving a passenger vehicle when it collided with an 18 wheeler UPS truck. The woman, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Two lanes of Wake Forest Road going towards downtown were closed from St. Albans Drive to Dresser Court for at least an hour.
