Woman stabbed multiple times at east Raleigh shopping center

A woman was stabbed multiple times Thursday evening in an east Raleigh shopping center, officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman was stabbed multiple times Thursday evening in an east Raleigh shopping center, officials said.

Police officers responded around 6:20 p.m. to the shopping center at 1100 N. Raleigh Blvd., which is anchored by a Food Lion grocery store. The woman had multiple stab wounds, police said.

The woman, identified as Alma Delia Contreras Martinez, 36, of Raleigh, was taken to WakeMed to be treated.
