Greensboro police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for Kayson Osiah Monk, 9 months, who is believed to be with Deon Lamar Monk, 23. Police did not say how the two are related.

Fayetteville police said a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman in the 1100 block of Wildwood Drive around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police said a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman in the 1100 block of Wildwood Drive around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The woman was shot in the left leg, police said. She was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. An update on her condition wasn't available.

The suspect was being processed at the Cumberland County jail Sunday morning, police said.

The names of the victim and suspect haven't been released.
