Woman shot in Durham neighborhood during home invasion

Durham police taped off a home on Fidelity Drive just after 3 a.m. Police are trying to figure out if the shooting was related to a home invasion or part of a shootout.

DURHAM, N.C. — A woman was shot in a Durham neighborhood on Tuesday morning.

Durham police put up crime scene tape at a home on Fidelity Drive just after 3 a.m. Police believe the shooting was related to a home invasion.

The woman was shot in the leg and is expected to recover. She was taken to the hospital.
