RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman died Sunday morning and three others were injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Capital Boulevard near Old Buffaloe Road, police said.
Teresa Bordeoux, 47, was stopped in the left-turn lane of inbound Capital Boulevard just before 8:30 a.m., authorities said. She had two passengers in her car: Gary Bryant, 51, and Cassandra Carroll, 18.

Keosha Patton, 24, driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser, approached the intersection in the same direction. She changed lanes, but did not see Bordeoux’s Honda stopped there until she was directly behind it.

Patton's car rear-ended Bordeoux's Honda, pushing it diagonally into the intersection, according to police.

When the Honda was struck, it jumped the median, sideswiping a Pontiac traveling outbound driven by Sharde Jones, 19, authorities said. Jones was not injured.

Bordeoux was pronounced dead at the scene. Patton, Bryant and Carroll were transported to WakeMed for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Patton was charged with death by motor vehicle, speeding and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, authorities said.
