<b>DUNN, N.C.</b> — A woman died on Sunday after shots were fired into a Sampson County house.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. on Todd Lane in Dunn.

Deputies said Carolyn Ann Stephenson, 61, was hit by bullets and died inside the the house.

A house next door to Stephenson's was also hit by bullets but no one was injured.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Inv. Matthew Thornton at 910-592-4141.
