<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Police were investigating the Wednesday morning death of a pedestrian in Durham.

Donna Michele Hunter, 56, of Durham, was walking near a bus stop on Junction Road at about 8:30 a.m. when she stepped into the roadway near Ross Road, police said. A Ford F-250 pickup was towing a metal trailer south on Junction Road, and the trailer hit Hunter, police said.

No charges had been filed in the case as of Wednesday evening.
