A woman was injured Monday morning after she was hit by a car at Holloway Street and North Alston Avenue in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — A woman was injured Monday morning after she was hit by a car at Holloway Street and North Alston Avenue in Durham.

The crash occurred before 3:30 a.m. Durham police said the pedestrian was struck by a car, which fled the scene.

EMS crews at the scene said she may have a broken leg or ankle, but her injuries were non-life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation as a hit-and-run. There was no description of the car available.
