A Fayetteville woman was seriously hurt after a crash early Saturday.

Sylvia Lee House, 42, was going west on Fisher Road at approximately 60 mph when her vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree near Lakewood Drive shortly before 3 a.m., Fayetteville police said.

She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition Saturday morning.

Authorities said the wreck is under investigation but that they believe alcohol might have been a factor.
